“Michelle and Cathy are our volunteers of the year 2018. Both excel in their dedication and willingness to step in and give a lift.”
I would like to say how much I appreciate FH. This is Rachel’s 5th year volunteering, and the healing and growth that she has gone through is invaluable. Even if she had decided not to be apart of the program this year, I still would have supported FH for the simple reason that I have been convinced over these years of the positive impact working with horses can have on those who are hurting and traumatized. This program has played a key part in My own personal testimony of healing from extended family trauma and I don’t even ride horses! – Michelle (more…)
Contact us with any in-kind donations/services that will help facilitate running the organization or with holding a fundraising event.
We are getting ready for our fundraising event (BBQ Dinner – March 30, 2019; 5 pm at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion) and request Donations of items to auction. On going donations in-kind for running the facilities is always needed as well.
We welcome all kinds of horse and barn related items, such as:
horses, hay, feed, tack, sand, shelters, landscaping equipment, horse trailer, and the like
If none of those items are in your shed or garage and you would still like to help us, check out our other action items! We can always use assistance. And remember to spread the word!
No gift is too small; however, we offer avenues to extend appreciation for our major sponsors. A space to hang your business’ (or personal) annual banner in our arena is available with any donation valued at or over $500, which will be viewed by the masses. Supporters who donate over $1000 will be recognized in our marketing materials and on our website as partners.
Our 50(c)3 tax id is 46-0649506.
As a sponsor, you will directly support the participants’ development in the program by doing one or more of the following: supporting a therapy horse, funding scholarships for riders, boosting funding to offset the costs of providing Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, and purchasing the currently private ranch to be our forever home (named after you, of course). Read more about how you can help on our campaign page.
PS. Incentive funds boost the value of every dollar you donate on Colorado Gives Day. This webpage is active for you to donate all year with the big day scheduled for December 4th. Visit us at: https://www.coloradogives.org/FreedomHooves/overview
We need people! If you or a loved one is seeking a special program to provide healing and growth, then you have found the right place.
Both participants and volunteers will engage with horses throughout the Spring, Summer and Early Fall with a number of programs to fit all needs. Read more about the programs we offer under the programs tab. Forms for volunteers and participants are available on our website.
Not seeing what you are looking for? We also need Board Members to help with fundraising, operations, and marketing.
