Freedom Hooves' Facility
Freedom Hooves and the COVID-19 threat:
Freedom Hooves serves children, adults, families and even the elderly throughout the Yampa Valley in Northwest Colorado. Some of our participants have obvious disabilities, while many others have invisible struggles in life that cannot be easily noticed. We strive to enrich the mind, body and spirit so people may live their very best life.
Volunteers create the backbone of Freedom Hooves. Without their engagement and sharing of their most valuable resource of time, we would not exist. Volunteers serve many functions, from helping during lessons in the arena to decorating the unicorn or making phone calls. There is a place for everyone to serve.
In order to serve well and meet the needs of participants and horses, we are constantly in need of resources. From monetary gifts to donations of horses or hay, Freedom Hooves values all help. Together we can build a better society by fostering wholeness. Thank you for considering joining us in this work through your donation.
Freedom Hooves connects the healing power of the horse with the needs of the community.
Freedom Hooves strives to become the foremost professional non-profit enriching people’s mind, body and spirit through partnership with horses.
8 Distinct Programs
Our programs are designed to enrich the mind, body, and spirit using equine assisted activities and therapies. We serve ages 4 – 94, coming alongside in life’s challenges.
A small exceptional staff of 4-5 and an active Board of Directors, coupled with over 100 volunteers annually, create the foundation to meet the needs.
From the best feed and training, to the greatest care possible, we ensure that our horses are ready and eager to be a part of our team.
